The very thing that the RWNJs here were whining about when unisex bathrooms for trans people were raised with a proposed bill to offer GLBT equal rights here.
OMGWHATABOUTTHECHYYYYLDREN? So perverts can pretend to be women and rape our chyyyldrennn? Use the bathroom you were born into, pervs.
I say fine, don't give trans people the right to use their new assignment bathrooms, but I better not see your opposite sex kid in mine. And I better never see a grown man in mine. How do I know he has a kid who needs to shit, he could be rapey and getting his jollies peeping.
Funny how everyone wants rules but want them broken when it comes to them and their fucktrophies.

Apparently little boy needed to poop and the only stall in the men's room was occupied so the dud barged into the women's room with the little boy, whose name starts with a K and ends in -ole. eyes2 Heaven forbid the kid's name have a conventional spelling or anything. Wouldn't want anyone to overlook his fabulous-ness by giving him a run of the mill name like all the plebians have.Quote

Let me get this straight. Male dud takes male kid into ladies toilets?
Erm, for the love of Gawd, why???? I know mens loos are mostly urinals, but men need to shit too, so there is usually a cubicle or two. Or there is, in most places, a unisex disabled toilet, and I've seen parents take their kids in those as it's easier to wrangle them in a larger space. In fact the changing facilities in some places over here are in the disabled loo, it doubles up.
What the hell is dud's problem? He doesn't want his kyd to go in the mens because he might see a wiener or two?

What I don't understand is WHY in the name of God WHY do US toilet stalls have doors with gaps huge enough for people to crawl under? I can only think of ONE public toilet where the stall door goes to the floor; it's in a casino. And lots of times, the sides of the door have enough gap so you have to avert your eyes while walking past, to avoid intruding on others' privacy.
I'm sure this is justified as a "safety"measure, but I think the downsides outweigh any good.

Theoretically, an adult could pass out in a washroom stall due to a medical emergency or a drug or alcohol incident, but I have never encountered this yet.

Trivia note - the vagus nerve is also responsible for orgasm. That release feeling is the vagus nerve in action. Also explains why so many old guys die with the trophy wife or vegas hooker...

I know you feel strongly about Trans issues since you came out, but I think what it does boil down to for many women is safety. It's one thing if a man is obviously going through a sex change or has already changed, but with less then that a woman doesn't know if a man is merely BSing to get access to a ladies room to harass or worse. There are a lot of ladies that have been raped previously, and seeing an unaltered man coming in might end up being a trigger.Quote

Uuuuuuuuugh... So tired of that bs. It shouldn't fucking matter where you take a piss. The only time I have ever felt imposed on in a bathroom was when a kid decided to look under the stall to watch me piss, which I immediately yelled at them. I don't think that people are itching to rape others at every moment and it just goes to show how little these ignorant transphobes know.

Thank you! I'm tired of being told I'm 'transphobic' because I don't want obvious males in the ladies room. Don't tell me that there aren't plenty of peepers, flashers, urine fetishists, predators, pedos, etc. who would just love to have access to woman's restrooms and locker rooms. How the hell am I supposed to know what their intentions are?
I'm tired of being told that my legitimate safety concerns are bigotry.
And before anyone starts yelling that "there is no army of transwomen rapists roaming women's restrooms", I'm not talking about people who genuinely feel they were born in the wrong body, I'm talking about sex predators who can and do use any method available to find victims.

To me, he's like a public udder-feeder. He's using his kyd to do something that's not appropriate. Just like an udder-feeder uses their kyd as an excuse to flash their udders in public, this guy is using his kyd to barge into the ladies' room. Totally unacceptable.
Catharsist, I don't have a problem with trans women using a ladies' room. I know they identify with female, and that's fine with me. I don't think anyone here disagrees with your POV.
This reminds me of an incident that happened to me a couple of years ago, when I was in a Sears store. I was desperate to use the bathroom, and everything looked fine. When I walked in, there was a man cleaning in there...no sign on the door, nothing to say he would be there cleaning.
Women were walking in and using the toilets as if he wasn't there, but I didn't. I checked my hair at the sink. That's when he turned to me and gave me an uber-pervy smile. I KNEW he was getting off on being in there. I held it and left. I was really upset, because I had to go find another bathroom and had to leave the store before I was finished shopping.

Except trans-women aren't going to be OBVIOUS men. No Trans person is dumb enough to use their preferred bathroom before they are sure they can pass. They could be beaten, raped, or killed themselves. If you don't want an obvious male using the ladies restroom, that doesn't make you transphobic, then makes you normal. Don't confuse me with an idiot. What I'm saying is that this can barrel roll into a witch hunt. I don't want to be labeled a pervert because I want to use a certain bathroom.
Saying you don't want a cis man in the ladies restroom isn't trans phobic in the least. But treating trans-women like an army of potential rapists? That's some good ol' garden variety bigotry. Do you honestly think a little sign that says "women" keeps regular cis men at bay from raping women in their own john? I assure you there is not a magical force field there. I understand the safety concern, but targeting trans-women (and conveniently forgetting that cis men are usually the rapists) is making life dangerous for people like me because people want to label me a pervert. I won't abide that nonsense. What's the difference between a male rapist in a dress and a male rapist who feel like forcing sex in the woman's bathroom? Not a damn thing. Gender expression has nothing to do with it. A rapist is a rapist no matter how they dress. That's my point.

This. Truly trans people are only going to use the restroom that they can pass in; most are well on their way to transforming and unless you do the package check (which makes you the violator, not them) you are not going to know.

Once again, I'm not worried about the 'truly trans', it's the straight male creeps and predators who most certainly will take advantage who worry me. Yes they'll be obvious, and that will not be of the slightest help to the victims. I also don't get why it's perfectly understandable for a 'trans' woman to fear male violence, but when real women are afraid of male sexual violence, it's bigotry.
