Wow. This kid sounds like the load that should have landed on the sheets.

I'd beat the little fucker into oblivion. Seriously bitch, 3 well-placed, good, hard smacks right across the face would be a good start.

We've got 5 cats and you can bet your sweet ass that anybody harming them, NO MATTER WHO THEY WERE, would feel the swift punishment of an angry cat owner.

I would have taken him right to the bathroom and stood him in front of the mirror. Given him the scissors back and said go on, you want to cut someone's ear off, so you can start with your own. He wouldn't get any further than tearfully putting the scissor to his lobe before tossing himself to the floor in a fit of regretful weeping. I'd take the scissors from him and make him apologise to Mr Andy Cat for being so wicked. And then banishment for the rest of the afternoon. The simpler and more direct the punishment or lesson, the more 'we' benefit from it.
