If Stangel really is an Indian from Bena, then it's likely she gets a per capita check from the Leech Lake tribe (it's rather amusing that she asked amy if she's a "lazy ass leech"), which could be a decent supplement to her income, depending on how successful their casinos are. If she doesn't live on the rez, she could always go back to that as her support net. Even if she does work and receive government assistance, she could also be getting child support from one or more duhds and a per capita check. I like the way she behaves as if people responding to her online is somehow more delporable than her currently socially acceptable form of mooching.

As far as the clothing line idea, Smoke Signals is also the name of a well-known movie from 1998 with a largely native cast. Stangel may very well have been referencing that bit of pop culture. She might as well have called her imaginary line Powwow Highway or Dance Me Outside. To add to her unoriginality, the "knee/thy high moccasin boots" are already done by Minnetonka. I also find it odd that an Indian would use the term "Native American." They always call themselves "Indians" or by some version of their tribe's name, unless maybe they're members of a certain disreputable organization.

I saw a couple of articles recently where CA and MI are cracking down on the use of EBT cards at casinos. This kind of shit makes me want to reconsider being a liberal sometimes.

Why CAN'T there be more restrictions on what people can buy with these cards? I understand that some people would argue that we'd be stigmatizing welfare recipients, or taking away their dignity, or something like that. I've also heard the argument that corporate welfare has a far greater monetary impact on society than people abusing their benefits, and I do agree, but that still doesn't make this shit OK. It makes sense to me that if you want more freedom to do certain things in society, you've got to be willing to assume more risk. For example, I as an employee, may have less freedom than someone who owns his or her own business, but said business owner shoulders more risk and therefore enjoys more independence. By the same token, an employee assumes more risk and exerts more effort than someone who expects the government to bankroll his or her lifestyle, and can buy whatever they want with their paycheck. It's a tradeoff, otherwise what is the incentive for these people to get off of their asses and work?

Absolutely! There's nothing worse than being a single white male when it comes to getting any sort of benefits handouts in Indiana. I was doing my taxes on the in.gov website, when I saw a little tag that suggested I should run my data and see if I qualify for free healthcare, foodstamps or cash. I was disgusted to see they needed to know my gender and race to see what benefits I could get. I thought benefits were based on household size vs. income, but apparently being hispanic, black or white or male vs. female has an impact on what freebies you qualify for. I bet if you could show that two different households, with the same income, and the only differences being race and gender, spit out two completely different benefit qualifications on a regular basis, you could get a nice lawsuit going against the state for discrimination.

This type of troll nonsense just reinforces my complete disdain of WIC-Welfare Whores, like this most recent one, "Jennifer". Her post oozes with the common sense of entitlement, the Martyr-Moo syndrome type of attitude, and the overly zealous "The lady doth protest too much, methinks...." rhetoric they ALL share. I have to question someone who exhibits the following behavior or who posts similar tripe, including the following:

1)She is extremely busy doing the most important job in the world, but has plenty of time to go online and seek out years old threads from childFREE boards and then has extra time to make commentary to it
2) She's hopelessly seeking attention and pats on the back from strangers on the world wide on a site that openly states parents are NOT welcome, further making an ass out of herself

5) If she's truly busy tending to those kids, her husband, and her home, how is it she is up at 2AM plucking around on a computer and making a troll out of herself on this site and God only knows how many others? Who's tending to those kids while she plays troll?
6)While she claims to have taken a vow of poverty to play nursemaid to her tardlings, she has the extra cash needed for a computer and internet service. Computers and internet service would be last on my list if I barely had enough to eat. She can't claim she's using one at the library either(like they often do) unless they are open in the middle of the night since she's posting at TWO AM.. If she IS at the library, then who is watching those "handicapped" children while she's out screwing around at all hours of the night and day?
7)She exudes this sense of entitlement for welfare for no other reason than she not once, but TWICE, created defective kids and manufactured a reason AND a backup reason to NOT work and go on the draw. Then, she has the audacity to use the tired old, "Maybe one day YOU will need assistance!" bullshit when it's blatantly clear NO ABLE BODIED young person can get public assistance UNLESS they have managed to arrange for some minor kids to live in their house. Everyone ALSO knows there's extra money for "handicapped" children with spectrum disorders and lesser "handicaps" too. No lady, unchilded people can NOT get assistance like yours even if they lose their jobs through no fault of their own, a hurricane wipes their home off the map, or they suffer from an acute illness or sudden injury resulting in temporary loss of income. All of that "assistance" you so easily get is paid for by people like us who will NEVER be able to use it should we ever truly need it. Cunts like you literally drain the system dry and leave nothing for people who have actually worked their entire lives.
